Karim Dhanji

I grew up in Chicago and call this city my home. I'm an engineer by trade and have spent most of my career learning how systems work. Unsurprisingly, I'm curious by nature, drawn in many directions.

In my twenties, a mindfulness practice quietly shifted how I moved through the world — I started slowing down, paying attention, noticing things I'd walked past a hundred times. Photography was a natural extension of that. It gave me a reason to stop and observe the world as it unfolds.

My work covers street and travel photography, documentary projects, and the occasional detour into nature. I'm not chasing a full-time career behind the lens, but I'm open to where it leads.

All images are shot on digital, processed minimally. The goal is never the edit — it's always the moment.
